Local Scout Focuses Project to Benefit BSAC ProgramsMar 17 2016
When it came time for Nicholas Lemar, a Boy Scout with Troop 610, to begin his Eagle Scout project, there was no question which organization he wanted to help. "BSAC has made such an IMPACT on me," said Nicholas, when talking about why he chose BSAC.
Nicholas recently completed more than 100 hours of work on his project to build six garden boxes that kids enrolled in BSAC After School and Summer Camp programs will be able to use to plant a variety of flowers, fruits, and vegetable while learning about sustainability, plants, and hard work. The boxes were completed and delivered to BSAC on March 14th and have already brought a new layer of education to the programs.
Brooke, a first grader in the BSAC After School All-Stars said she had so much fun planting the seeds and "I can't wait to see them grow. We are going to go see them tomorrow (Friday)."
BSAC would like to thank Nicholas for all his hard work on this project and for helping the kids in our programs continue to have the best experience in the greater Tampa area.

2016 Casino Night Raises Funds and AwarenessMar 01 2016
BSAC's 2016 Casino Night featured Elvis, great food, casino games, great times and more. Most importantly, the event raised over $30,000 for BSAC programs and brought awareness to many aspects of BSAC's mission in the community.
Guests were provided much needed nourishment from BSAC partners Golden Corral, Lee Roy Selmon's Restaurant, Outback Steakhouse and PDQ with desert provided by Chick Fil A and Le'Annes Cheesecakes and more. Throughout the night, Elvis sang his greatest hits, walking through the crowd and sharing the microphone with many of our Team TRIDENT members. Team TRIDENT once again provided a lot of energy to the evening, making sure the dance floor was full throughout the night.
This event would not have been successful without our many sponsors. We can not thank them enough for their support and hope you will support them when you have the opportunity.
