World's Largest Swim LessonJun 24 2014
BSAC, inconjunction with the Copeland and Bobby Hicks pools in Tampa, hosted the World's Largest Swim Lesson and had over 200 swimmers in attendance! Our Team TRIDENT students were in the water, and several members of the Blue Wave Swim Team volunteered to help our team of fabulous swim instructors and lifeguards show just how much fun it is to learn to swim.
And save a life! BSAC would like to thank Hillsborough Fire and Rescue, The Children's Board of HIllsborough County, Bay Care (USF Health) and St.Joe's Hospital for bringing water safety materials and being part of this great day to promote youth drowning prevention. The message - teach your child to swim! Please call Member Services at (813) 689-0908 to register your child today!
Summer CampMar 19 2014
What should we do with the kids this summer? Here at BSAC your child gets the state-park old-fashioned camp experience YOU had as a child, with some modern technology, like Wii Challenge Competitions, thrown in!
The Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center has the most comprehensive summer camp in the greater Brandon area for ages 3 to 14! With weekly themes such as Safari Week, Circus Week, Secret Agent Week, and Ocean Adventure Week, each week is designed with the corresponding age-specific activities and field trips that make our summer camp so unique (see attached). In addition, each child has the opportunity to experience all of the sports that you have come to expect at BSAC: swimming, tennis, diving, gymnastics, and martial arts. Lunches and snacks can be brought from home or purchased here, and we will have special days featuring Chick Fil A, Tijuana Flats, and Square 1 Burgers. Our full day program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for $130 per week, and half days run from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for $70 per week, with field trips available for ALL groups. Drop ins available for $35 per day with a requested 48-hour notice.

The Burgess Men Throw the First PitchMar 13 2014
Saladino Heat Travel baseball player Brandon Burgess, along with proud dad and BSAC Executive Director Chuck Burgess, was invited to throw out the first pitch at the Tuesday, March 11, 2014 evening game of the 34th Annual Saladino Tournament held at Brandon Mrs. Tony Saladino II. And straight across the plate it went! Great job, guys!
